Residual Income Affiliate Programs - A Step
By Step Plan to Passive Income
This is a step by step plan that will help you set up a
residual Income from affiliate programs. The information is not
new although I do approach it in my own way which I hope you
will find helpful and ultimately financially rewarding.
Step One - Make sure you know the niche.
I believe it is much easier for you to earn a good affiliate
income if you know about the subject or niche you are planning
to work in. You will be able to write well for the niche and
you will recognise valuable products the have affiliate
programs.
Step Two - Make sure there are people spending money in the
niche.
If people are not spending money in the niche now. This will
not change just because you decide that you want to get
involved in it. Check that there are plenty of google ads on
the search pages as this gives an indication of whether
advertisers are prepared to spend good money in the niche to
get their message out there.
Step Three - Make sure there are plenty of good products in
your niche.
There needs to be at least 10 products for you to promote.
20 would be better but not all niches will have this many
products. You need this many to choose the best products for
you. You will also want to run special promotions from time to
time. Some products will convert to sales better than others
and you will have to test your figures to see what affiliate
products work best for your website. Do not take other peoples
stats as gospel. You should prove the top products for
yourself.

Step Four - Buy the chosen products.
Having chosen you first 5 products you need to purchase them
and use them. This way you can give real reviews for the
products.I do not believe you can sell a product that you are
not familiar with and have bought for yourself.
Step Five - The Secret Step - Do not tell anyone this
step!!!
Make live videos of you reviewing and demonstrating the
products. If the products needs it then make a number of videos
on that product. What you are doing is adding an authentic
voise to your reviews. A propect can see that you have bought
what they are looking for and your sales rate will be much
higher than with someone who doesn't own the products and trys
to sell them. These product review videos will form the main
element of your affiliate products review website.
Step Six - Build your review website.
Having prepared your video content you need to build it into
a review website. Each page will focus on one of the products
and give your opinion and score for it. I usually target one
product as a "Best Buy" but you do not need to do this. The
website can be a blog style bit I much prefer a standard html
website as you can really get the look precisely the way you
like it. I still do not believe that blog software allows you
to get the look and feel very easily. You end up following the
theme author's design.
Step Seven - Send Traffic to your review website.
It sounds so easy when you just say send traffic to your
website. What this means is adopting a whole range of
activities that will bring potential customers to your website.
The more targeted your prospects the more who will click
through to your affilate merchants website and ordering
products.
Step Eight - Review how the five products are performing
and converting.
If you find lots of people are clicking through but not
ordering it could be that the sales page is poor. You should
try other products out to see if there are better converting
items you can promote. If you start selling a large number of a
particular product you should approch the vendor to arrange
special promotions. You can even agree your own sales page. As
long as you make it a win win situation with the merchant they
will be pleased to help.
